About ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the international standard for Quality Management System published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 165 national standards bodies. The standard was first published in 1987 by ISO and has been updated over the years, the most recent update was in 2015, and it is referred to as ISO 9001:2015.

Our certification process is easy and seamless to follow

ISO 9001:2015
  1. Application Review – Once ESI will review and accept your application for ISO 9001, the Stage 1 Audit dates will be set (along with your team) to review your documents
  2. Stage 1 Audit – This audit is mainly for Documentation Review; where our auditors will assess and verify your QMS documentation to ensure they are prepared effectively in accordance with the ISO 9001 (QMS) standard requirements. If the documents under observation are in order, then we move to Stage 2 Audit
  3. Stage 2 Audit – ESI auditors will visit your office premises and conduct the external audit to ensure that the documentation reviewed and verified in Stage 1 Audit are actually being implemented effectively within your organization
  4. Certification – After successful completion of Stage 2 Audit, ESI auditors will submit their findings and report to the Audit Manager who will verify the effectiveness and compliance to the QMS Standard and finally ESI will grant your organization with the ISO 9001 Certification

ISO 9001 Audit

Every organization has to get themselves audited by an independent auditing body before they can apply for ISO Certification in Management Systems. Hence, we do 3rd Party Audits for organizations to compare and verify their Management System against the requirements of the Quality Management System Standard.

There are 10 clauses in the ISO 9001:2015 standard supported by multiple sub-clauses. Clauses 4-10 cover the requirements for application of the standard. Hence, you must satisfy the requirements between clauses 4-10 in order to be successfully certified in ISO 9001:2015.

Upon submission of the application for getting certified, it may take up to 2-3 weeks to receive the ISO 9001 certification based on the size of the company and complexity of the company’s activities.

The cost of getting certified in ISO 9001 will vary depending on the size and complexity of your organization and on whether you already have some elements of a quality management system (QMS) in place.
