About ISO 45001

ISO 45001 is the international standard for Occupational Health & Safety Management System published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, non- governmental international organization with a membership of 165 national standards bodies. ISO 45001 is adapted from OSHAS 18001 (the initial standard published for OH&S). This is a completely new standard, and not a revision or update of any other standard published in 2018 and is referred to as ISO 45001:2018.

Our certification process is easy and seamless to follow

  1. Application Review – Once ESI will review and accept your application for ISO 45001, the Stage 1 Audit dates will be set (along with your team) to review your documents
  2. Stage 1 Audit – This audit is mainly for Documentation Review; where our auditors will assess and verify your OH&S documentation to ensure they are prepared effectively in accordance with the ISO 45001 (OH&S) standard requirements. If the documents under observation are in order, then we move to Stage 2 Audit
  3. Stage 2 Audit – ESI auditors will visit your office premises and conduct the external audit to ensure that the documentation reviewed and verified in Stage 1 Audit are actually being implemented effectively within your organization
  4. Certification – After successful completion of Stage 2 Audit, ESI auditors will submit their findings and report to the Audit Manager who will verify the effectiveness and compliance to the OH&S Standard and finally ESI will grant your organization with the ISO 45001 Certification

Upon submission of the application for getting certified, it may take up to 2-3 weeks to receive the ISO 45001 certification based on the size of the company and complexity of the company’s activities.
